13,000 years ago there was a prehistoric human culture known as Clovis, they lived in what is now known as New Mexico, It was first thought that a comet wiped them out but researchers found enough evidence to prove that the comet they thought had hit the Clovis society never went anywhere near the Clovis society. The Clovis society is thought of as the oldest cultures in North America. Less than six hundred years after the society formed it disappeared which led many people to think that a major event wiped out almost all of the Clovis society.
I think it is very interesting how people can find out how, first of all the Clovis society ever existed and second of all how long they existed until the entire died off. I also think that it is surprising how they could tell that the comet that was thought to kill them actually didn't come anywhere near they were living in New Mexico,  I want to know how they even found out where the comet went or even if there were a comet.
